You can choose a beginner plan, intermediate, advanced, or competitive plan based on the number of miles you run per week. These websites generate a generic plan based on your level of expertise. However, ForRunners doesn’t have a built-in training plan which is where you can use the ones available on websites like the Cool Running, VeryWellFit, and RunnersWorld. While these apps can do tracking for you, they don’t build a training program for you. Samsung comes with the Samsung Health app, Mi phones have the Mi Fit app and the stock Androids have Google Fit. Most Android phones have one or the other fitness apps built-in by the OEMs. After trying out a bunch of training apps, below is my list of best 10K running apps to prepare for the race of your life. Shall I stay at Runtastic just because I have all the activities there and I am a premium user for free for life? Or shall I move to one of the other apps? Do you use any of these? But I liked the fact that you can log previous activity with manually drawing the route on the map. These two features kept me away from installing the app to my phone. Facebook integration doesn't include friends list. You can select one of your shoes, or *drum roll* no shoes before starting an activity. Shoe brands are not as wide as Strava but there is Vivobarefoot. I wish it could check Facebook friends list. But once you enter a shoe, you cannot select "no shoes" option. Shoe brands include many barefoot manufacturer such as Xero, Earth Runners, etc. Shoe brands does not include barefoot shoes (I'm looking at Vivobarefoot for reference).
I've signed up all of them (my digital footprint just got bigger for nothing). I've found Strava, Runkeeper, and Nike Run Club. Then Adidas bought the app, cut the many different exercise apps, removed social network website and many features. Just for installing it to my Windows Phone, it gave me lifetime premium membership upon removing the app from that platform.
